I found this great short and to the point article that gives you some great ideas for Princess party favors. Check out there website at  http://www.designed2bsweet.com

If you are throwing a Princess Birthday party for your little princess, you know one of the most important elements is the party favors. But when you have a party of 20 children, you also know purchasing the party favors can be an expensive and exhausting endeavor. Here are some party favor ideas that are inexpensive and fun!

1. Small ribbon tutus, princess wands, beaded tiaras or halos are really great party favors. Not only do the little princesses get to take these home; they can wear them at the party to add to the ambiance of the event. These items are relatively inexpensive and can usually be purchased at a discount when you buy in bulk. The great thing about these favors is that they will not be used just once. Girls will want to play dress-up with them over and over again and will remember your party each time.

2. Sweet confections such as pink rock candy, jewel lollipop rings, sweet tart candy necklaces, and tiara shaped lollipops all complement the theme well and are sure to delight the party guests!

3. Child size jewelry such as long beaded necklaces, plastic jeweled necklaces, princess or girl theme charm necklaces and bracelets or large plastic jeweled rings in the shape of gems, diamonds, flowers and hearts are great favors. The larger and more sparkly the better! The preferred colors for these jewelry items iare, of course, pink, purple or red.

4. Hair accessories like butterfly hair clips, sparkle jeweled barrettes, tiara hair combs, shimmer ribbon hair scrunchies and headbands with beaded tiaras or jewels on top work very well too. Give these items in any combination with the princess party favors mentioned above for a birthday party that will be remembered long after it is over.

5. Instead of just handing any of these items out to the girls why not put them in princess theme party favor bags with tiaras, sparkles or stars on them? Another unique idea is to find interesting child size purses to fill with the party favors. You can find great purses with sequins or metallic fabrics that complement the magic and girly atmosphere of the event. Velour or organza party favor bags are great as well. You may even be able to find these bags in the shape of “glass slippers” to further extend the theme.

Now you have lots of great ideas to get you started on your princess party favor planning. Be creative and have fun!

Planning Birthday Party Tips….

When you are starting to plan your kid’s birthday party, the question comes up as to how many children should be invited….

Consult your child if they are of age as to who they would like to invite.

It has been my experience to add 4 children to your child’s age. If your daughter is turning 6 add 4 and send out 10 invites.

If under the age of 6, invite the parents to join them.

Take into account for any sibling your own children might have at the party or if a child’s parent is coming if they have a sibling that might come.

Once you receive the responses, compile a complete list including the above mentioned to make sure you have an accurate guest count. This will make the rest of the planning easier.

So you decided to have a princess party for your daughters next birthday and are looking for princess party supplies look no further.

Here are 3 websites I have found that you may find helpful and save you a lot of time.

Princess Story

I found this wonderful poem and wanted to share it with you. Jill Carpenter is a talented writer. Let me know what you think. If you have a princess story you would like to share, please contact us and we will publish it.

I Am The Princess- By Jill Carpenter

I am a Grand Princess, my Heart is Pure Gold,
I only think Good Thoughts, I’m Precious, you know.
It’s my Royal Decree that I must get My Way,
And you should hand over your treasures, I Say.

Ah, the World is my Oyster, yes, Everything’s Mine.
I don’t want to hear of your hard work and time,
’cause it just doesn’t matter, I Own All Things by Right,
In fact I am Claiming Whatever’s in Sight.

No matter to Me if it’s your stuff by law,
‘Cuz it’s Mine if I say so, and I Want It All.
See That over there, and This over here?
Just give it to Me now, I Own It, m’dear.

Since I am The Princess, I’m Divine and Remote
And you are too puny to be worthy of note,
So, please do stop saying you think it’s unfair,
It Upsets Me, you know, and I mostly Don’t Care.

Oh, God made Me Special, and made you all poor,
He mustn’t be questioned, you deserve it, I’m Sure.
I am the Divine One, so what can I say?
Y’all should feel honored to Bow and Obey!

Oh, don’t get all stubborn, don’t argue and fret.
You simply don’t matter, and My Mind is set.
What isn’t Mine now will be All Mine quite soon
(And if you’ve made new stuff, then that’s All Mine, too!)

Rated “G” by the Author.

It works OK for five-year-olds…

I wrote and posted this little rhyme (I would not presume to call it REAL poetry) back in March or April of 2005.  It was inspired by someone that my business partner and I had had the misfortune of doing business with. I deleted the poem shortly after it was posted for fear that they might read it and recognize themselves in it and become more difficult to deal with (as if that could be possible). I was giving them too much credit. Their ability for honest insight has not been apparent, thus far. No reason to believe they might suddenly acquire it.

At the time, they had upset me with their sly and greedy agendas, and unethical, unprofessional behavior. But, now that a little time has passed, I’m able to see the humor in my “poetic” response, so I thought I’d post it again.

The truth is that I remember being such a “Princess” when I was five. I think all five-year-olds believe the world and everything in it belongs to them. Fortunately most of us outgrow that belief. How sad for those who never do.

Anyway, here’s the poem. I know who this poem was written for, but I have an idea that everyone knows at least one person that fits the description, so it’s likely a universal sentiment.

Your little girl wants to have a princess party but you think how can that fit in with our organic, green lifestyle?

With a bit of creativity, you can give your daughter the party of her dreams and keep it green and organic. Follow these steps for a spectacular princess event.

Picking the Location: Choose a location that looks elegant or can easily be transformed into an elegant spot. A garden or transforming a room in your house to give a garden feel is the perfect setting. If you have a local park with a covered area would be another great choice.

Princess Party Invitations: You can make them yourself on a cloth treasure bag that they can bring to the party for the treasure hunt. Simply go to your local craft store buy pre-made or get some fabric and sew them up yourself. On one side, write the party information. You can have a craft activity to decorate them at the party as well. You can also email out the invitation , type up what you want your invitations to say and send. Read more at LiveOrganicBaby.com
